Volunteer Opportunities
Our work is made possible by an extraordinary community of more than 1,500 dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy and heart to support our mission. When you volunteer with Leader Dogs for the Blind, you’re not just giving back, you’re joining a supportive, mission-driven community.
To ensure a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone, all volunteer roles require a background check and completion of an application appropriate to the position.

Volunteer on Campus
Our volunteers play vital roles in every corner of our organization — from marketing and philanthropy to client services, programs and dog care. Whether working hands-on with our dogs through canine care, puppy development, breeding and the vet clinic, or supporting client services, programs, marketing and philanthropy, volunteers help bring our mission to life every day.
Be a Leader Dog Ambassador
At Leader Dog, everyone has the opportunity to be a storyteller. By sharing your experiences and lifting up our mission, you help more people find our services, inspire new volunteers, and encourage donor support. Together, we create a ripple effect that changes lives.
